X-Men: Apocalypse won its first trailer that contains several details about the villain Apocalypse. The film’s story takes place in 1983 bringing the return of Xavier, Magneto, Mística and other mutants in the franchise. Check out the official synopsis below:
“Since the beginning of civilization, he has been worshiped as a God. Apocalypse, the most powerful mutant in the X-Men Universe, has accumulated the power of several other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. When he wakes up after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the current world and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a discouraged Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to end the human race and create a new world order, under which he will reign . With Earth’s fate on the line, Mística (Jennifer Lawrence), with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy), will lead a group of young X-Men to stop extinction and save humanity from destruction ”.
The film will hit theaters on May 27, 2016.
